Dao Yin (Chi Kung or Qi Gong)

Dao Yin means to "Guide & Stretch". It circulates the smooth flow of the blood and vital energy (Qi), throughout the entire body. It involves both passive and vigorous actions, that are circular and continuous in their movements.

Dao YinWithin the Li Family Arts the Daoyin exercises that are taught have been handed down from one generation to another. All originate from ancient Taoist practices, such as the:

  • Ba Duan Jin - Eight Strands of the Brocade Daoyin, Sitting & Standing Exercises.
  • Wu Xing-Five Element Daoyin.
  • Taiji Daoyin Exercises - Yin & Yang Balancing Exercises.
  • Chang Ming Daoyin-Taoist Health/Longevity Exercises.

Today more and more people are becoming aware of the Traditional Chinese health exercise of Daoyin. Which is now called in our present time as "Qigong", which means to Work with Energy.
